Fascinating!

you know, there is this fantastic new technology that is cheaper than this, it runs of of wind power its called a sail boat.

sikkkboii September 3, 2010 at 4:20 am

did you make that all by yourself or did you have help? you wasted your time and money. Gas Power! if you made a boat that runs on farts id be impressed.

Fantastic thought. Incorrect boat and solar panels. Beyond doubt need to be able to cast while fishing. Use a single 220+ watt panel mounted sideways. Newer solar panels also use less space then when this was prototyped. Mount the panel on the back 1/2 of the boat to free up the front for fishing. The panel will grant shade from sun/rain. Or, austerely double the length of the boat for room fore/aft for us scuba/fishing/…… junkies. This would be a fantastic small leasing boat at a resort lake.

gopherdude9 September 3, 2010 at 5:15 am

cool but i bet its hard to fish in how do u cast?

G00SE216 September 3, 2010 at 6:04 am

sweet party boat dude. i’d like to have a beer with you.

auzziman911 September 3, 2010 at 6:12 am

if you go all the way out in the water with your boat why would you want to cast out??? lmao you only need to drop it over the side

johnv500 September 3, 2010 at 6:55 am

excellent for use emergency boat in case if the yacht boat break down or went out of gas or else. solar can continue to run will not stop. it is excellent.

potoose September 3, 2010 at 7:40 am

Duffy boats need solar
Lear boats need fee drop
Loon boats need style
This boat needs me :)

giantart September 3, 2010 at 8:21 am

This is Awesome!!

beakill September 3, 2010 at 9:05 am

excellent thought, but how would i cast a line, for fishing… towing the panels thought makes excellent sense for 2 reasons, wind and casting a line.

Whatevz7 September 3, 2010 at 9:42 am

Wonderful application of solar. Quicker than paddling, shade and very silent.

kizlmynizl September 3, 2010 at 10:19 am

Not that impressive :-/

boatstogo September 3, 2010 at 11:02 am

$2000- $4000

dshelton16 September 3, 2010 at 11:15 am

Is there a fee array anyone could give me for one of these?

cdltpx September 3, 2010 at 11:30 am

If he towed the solar panels on a raft wind would not be an issue.

cdltpx September 3, 2010 at 12:05 pm

Much quicker than I can paddle.Perfect for the intercoastal canal. Nice and silent fantastic ride.
Some one is going to build a solar sail boat so when the wind is dead they can propell at a moderate speed till they regain wind.
