Hi Trent,
I just thought I’d give you a buzz. To my bolt from the blue a snippet of my email was published in the latest Open Road magazine in the Torque back section. I had no intention of it being published, but obviously they found enough validity in it to warrant a publishing. They aristocratic it ‘Cleaner machines’. take care. Nick

Bearing in mind that zero emissions using current technology and costs is unachievable if the business wants to survive. I don’t doubt that you’re right about offsets, but it comes down to a question of what is practical for a business to achieve. Have personally written software to cut paper usage by ~200,000 pages per year for NRMA I’m coming from the same place you do. Oh and fuel efficient cars are getting insurance discounts lol just to add

I did get a direct response from Alan Evans. Carbon neutrality should be achieved through zero emissions. Not through offsets. Trees can’t solve a problem that we have made overnight. We burn fuels far too quickly for saplings to absorb. I just mentioned that because companies seem to reckon that they can buy their way to carbon neutrality via offsets.

I work for NRMA Insurance (motoring and services is now separate) and I can let you know that the company by the end of the decade will be carbon neutral. The green fuel issue is being looked at by us as an insurer but I agree that the NRMA motoring and services can play a huge role tool. Let us know when/if they get back to you!!

I agree that this matter needs to be addressed as of yesterday. But, here’s an fascinating tidbit, did you know the color smoke your car emits is more harmful to the environment than the black smog you saw from that construction truck. Weird, huh? (Please note this is in no way tiresome to be confrontational, just wanting to place it out there.)

Hey Jen, I too am also disgusted with the filthy particulates that come out of lorries and other trucks.. sorry to say diesel fuels have their own set of tribulations counting the aforementioned particulate emissions. Thanks for all the comments guys! You all rock. And thanks for the hat comment too. lol. Can’t wait for videos from you guys. Keeping it sterile – Nick

Hey guys! Yeah i wish I could make the videos longer, but Youtube only allows 10 minute videos, and it is kind of hard for me to sit down for too long.. lol. i place a few videos last night and it took me a few hours with all the playing around- but that was primarily because of the Wedding Slideshow. There is just a few fish in there, Peacock, a few suckers and a zebra danio.. nothing special lol. Its kind of just furniture now

Go figure of way they pull the total secretary response letter. It’s B.S, You know today i was driving here in the US and i was making a turn when a construction truck shot out black smog, i am disguseted.

Fantastic video, feel free to make them longer.
The e-mail was cool, although their response seemed kind of aoutomatic, like that may be what they send everyone.
